Dianabol and Its Effects on Women
What is a Dianabol and what it can do?
Methandrostenolone or methandienone is one of the popular oral anabolic steroid which is best known as Dianabol or the d-bol. It is an anabolic steroid which hastens the cells to synthesize proteins. It also helps in the development of cellular tissues, especially in the muscles. It also results in positive nitrogen balance, which has an important role in human health.
Dianabol exhibits strong anabolic and moderate androgenic characteristics. It is a fast-acting steroid which works quickly and quite effectively on the body. The dose intake of this steroid varies, depending upon the desired effects of athletes, weightlifters, power lifters and bodybuilders in muscle building. It can be taken as either in pill or in injectable form.
Dianabol Builds Strength and Muscles
Athletic people who wants to build strength and develop muscle mass tends to use this steroid to help them achieve their goal. But using steroids has great impact to our health most especially to those people who use it inappropriately. Dianabol was the second anabolic steroid introduced in the market. The first was Testosterone, which was produced in the early 1900¥s and experimented with by Nazi¥s in WW2, in an attempt to produce better soldiers. By using this steroid, weight gain is attained but it can also cause water retention.
A positive side effect of Dianabol is that it helps to increase lactic acid build up in the body as it increases anaerobic glycolysis. Lactic acid is a good agent to eliminate dietary carbohydrates, one of the causes to get fat. Formation of energy in anaerobic metabolism is a byproduct of glycogen formation due to the use of Dianabol. Dianabol is also effective in reducing osteoporotic activities, which are common in postmenopausal women.
Reported Side Effects on Women
Dianabol, unfortunately, has some side effects to women mainly due to its androgenicity and estrogenicity. A single dose of Dianabol can cause unstable concentration in the blood level. To avoid this effect, the dosage should be split up during the day intake. With prolonged use, this can also cause problems in liver function for it is toxic to the liver. On top of this, even a smaller dose of about 10 mg in a day could increase the values of the liver. This should not worry the females using Dianabol, because the elevation in the liver enzymes returns to normal after discontinuance of this steroid. But with proper intake of this steroid and in conjunction with a training program and proper diet, this effect would be lessened.
Dianabol effects on both men and women are different. Research shows that one of the most common side effects to women is its ability to cause significant virilization. Breast reduction, irregular menstrual cycles, clitoral enlargement and increased body hair is also a Dianabol side effect to women. Because women normally don't have as much androgens in their bodies as men do, the use of Dianabol can trigger the development of male characteristics such as growth of facial hair, body hair growth, male pattern baldness, and deepening of voice due to the androgen in the steroid. Those women, who happen to be afraid of being muscular as men, are able to make good use of this steroid with controlled doses of around 2 to 4 tablets within a timeframe of less than 4 to 6 weeks.
Some may also experience other side effects such as acne, which will eventually appear on the person who has no acne and also worsen on those people who already have. Another one is water retention, which is very visible to those people using steroid. Water retention can occur in the neck and face areas. Dianabol intake with a slightly greater dose can result in the development of extreme masculine characteristics in women which are permanent. There are many other side effects of dianabol like liver damage, insomnia and high blood pressure. Women who take Dianabol may experience rapid weight gain, mood swings, elevated cholesterol levels, liver enzyme irregularities, clotting disorders and tendon damage. Therefore, women who want to use Dianabol are highly recommended to be supervised by a medical practitioner, who would monitor the liver function values and check for any abnormalities regularly.
